ধরি, full অবস্থায় বেগ x mph, তাহলে empty অবস্তায় বেগ 2x mph.
Total time = 8 hours - 30 minutes = 7.5 hours
ধরি, যাওয়ার সময় x বেগে চলে t1 hour
আসার সময় 2x বেগে চলে t2 hour
t1 + t2 = 7.5
t1 = 7.5 - t2
এখন, বেগ = দূরুত্ব / সময়
বেগ × সময় = দূরুত্ব
যাওয়ার সময় x × t1 = 20
x ( 7.5 - t2) = 20
7.5 x - t2x = 20.......... (1)
t2x = 10
(1) নং এ বসিয়ে,
7.5 x = 30
x = 4
অর্থাৎ emty অবস্থায় Speed = 2x = 2× 4 = 8 mph
